"Anemone"

Anemone is a player that bounces to the beat of the music. This product was conceptualised to discuss the impact of physical movability on product aesthetics.

Few products are made from the perspective of the rhythms of life, as we usually take for granted that industrial products are categorized as inanimate artifacts. Most products are designed to solve problems, so many can be understood as a class of physical tools. But looking back over history, there is a large category of product ideas that seem to be closer to artistic creations and pose thought-provoking questions.

With Planned Obsolescence still alive, can designers approach product design from a creature perspective rather than as the "packaging of life"?

Through my experience in the category of bio-aesthetics, the structure of marine invertebrates is particularly well suited to be associated with product structures with axial symmetry. The geometric structure and translucency of these organisms are the furthest thing from terrestrial vertebrates, yet geometry is a crucial tool for human understanding of aesthetics.

Therefore, I studied the structure of marine invertebrates to establish a balance between geometry and biophilia, to break with the traditional sense without losing the essence of product design.

Anemone's tentacles can independently move up and down with the rhythm to adapt to different music styles, bringing the audience a unique visual and auditory experience.

The principle is electromagnetic induction, where different current directions can attract or repel magnets, thus making the tentacles mobile.
